Black King Pearl Vegetarian “Scallop”

A nice compliment to steak, as an appetizer or stand on it’s own, Black King Pearl Oysters make an amazing vegetarian scallop option to your cuisine.

Ingredients

1/2 lb Millbrook Mushroom Black King Pearl Oysters (BKPO)
2 tbsps of butter
Salt & pepper
Brown butter

Preparation

  • Cut the stems of BKPO into 1 inch slices to resemble scallops

  • Season with salt and pepper on each side

  • Saute each side in melted butter that turns brown on medium heat about 3 minutes per side

  • Serve warm on plate
