Our story
It all starts with what’s right in front of you—if you’re open to seeing it. We believe that every person and experience enters your life for a reason. Keri has been lucky to be surrounded by inspiring, entrepreneurial women and seasoned business professionals whose mentorship sparked her decision to launch her own small business, built on years of corporate experience. At the same time, Kyle, who was raised on a farm, was already managing their hobby farm, Millbrook Farm, while pursuing his professional career. In 2021, a longtime friend in the mushroom industry encouraged Kyle to dive deeper. He visited her farm, and then immersed himself in the fascinating world of fungi. With a mix of faith and determination, Millbrook Mushrooms took root in Rockwall, TX, breaking ground in 2022.

At Millbrook Mushrooms, we’re passionate about cultivating premium gourmet mushrooms for both culinary excellence and wellness benefits. Our state-of-the-art facility is home to a diverse selection of species, including multiple types of Oyster mushrooms, Lion’s Mane, Black King Pearl, Chestnut, Reishi, Shiitake, and Pioppino. With the capacity to meet growing demand, our farm is well-equipped to serve chefs, retailers, and individuals seeking to add high-quality mushrooms to their everyday lives. We pride ourselves on providing fresh, nutrient-rich mushrooms tailored to a variety of needs.
What’s Behind the Name, Millbrook?
Kyle grew up dairy farming in New Jersey alongside his grandparents and great-grandparents. On their farm stands a beautiful 1800s-era grist mill—a cherished landmark featured in a photo of Keri and their daughter, Morgan, taken nearly 20 years ago. A gentle brook runs beside the old mill, and Kyle has fond memories of spending his childhood playing in that stream, surrounded by the rhythms of farm life. Today, that legacy lives on through “Millbrook” and the continued spirit of farming within our family.
